7.40 - 9.00 A.M.
We just had the first Level 9 assembly this morning. Mr. Aldwin Baldovino presented to the level 9 community the set of administrators this school year starting from the President of the institution down to the middle administrators of the Integrated School. He also talked about the rules and regulations stipulated in the student handbook and reminded the students of proper behavior and the importance of following the rules in and outside the campus.
The LaSalle Brothers shared their messages to the students and challenged them to have focus and direction in life, imbibe specific values, develop study habit, make friends, and excel in Science and English. All of these are essential ingredients to lead and guide the students to be globally competitive. Br. Mawel said that among the LaSalle Schools we are still lagging behind as regards English proficiency. He enjoined the community to put this saying into practice, that is, “The harder you work, the greater the reward”.
The Principal and his assistant Principal also challenged the students to perform well in academics and in other areas of their lives, they must remember that they are the ones who are next in line; and they better prepare themselves for the task of being the big brothers and sisters in the Integrated school next year. As parting words, Mr. Baldovino, the Year Level Moderator, shared wisdom from Jim Rohn’s secret of success, which says: “Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment.”
The assembly was indeed a great way of starting this school year in the right direction, with a purpose. And with the wisdom of the administrators being shared to the students enhances the chance of fulfilling the objectives. I hope everybody must contribute to achieve the goals that we’ve set this year. With deep faith in God and the determination to succeed in life, may we live our best life now!
